Located on the Potomac River and 30 miles from the nation’s capitol, it’s home to the first publicly accessible Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, first on-site Virginia Rail Express train stop and 13,000 sq. ft. Shores Club private recreation club.

Planned as a transit-oriented development community, approval for the VRE rail station required agreements with the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) and CSX.
